Long time Wildwoods planters Jason Nardella and Skyler Boushel approach me to make a short film in 2007. They filmed half the season and planted the rest of their time and finished one short film The Alternative Grind which is touring the film festivals all over. It was so fun we decided to go for a full length pro film “One Long Day”. They filmed full time in 2008 and captured the hardest season we have had in a while. It will be a pretty legitimate account of tree planting with lots of good characters plenty of good times and some serious lows. We have 1.5 years of post production work to get it produced. We aren’t sure what will become of the film our goal is the Banff Film Festival and possibly a network but no serious plans until it’s completed.
